7 Months and starting to get around

Watch out!! Both Bethany and Melody are starting to become mobile. Bethany crawls and Melody scoots on her bottom. They are still in the beginning stages of each. Bethany does make it across the room, but it takes a while with multiple colapses on her tummy. Melody just started to scoot a few days ago. She does not get very far. The other day she only made it 5 inches on the carpet, but in the tub where there is no traction, she went over a foot before I had to grab her to make sure she didn't fall and hit her head in the tub. We tried putting her on the hardwood floor to see how she would scoot on that. Well, she went over a foot, but in the wrong direction. She went backwards! She does know how to scoot in a circle to change directions, she has been doing that for a few weeks now. In a few weeks when both girls are better at their forms of transportation, we will have to set them up in a race. What is the fastest method of travel, by knees or bottom? Enough talk, here are some pictures.

Bubbles!

Everyone keeps telling us to try blowing bubbles at the girls to see what they do. Well, we should not have tried on a windy day. It took a while to get the hang of getting the bubbles to form right with the wind. When we finally got it down, the girls had the instinctive reaction, they closed their eyes whenever we would send bubbles their way. After a few tries, Bethany and Melody tried to catch them. Bethany with her little hands and Melody with a wide mouth. Neither girl was successful at getting any. It is always fun to watch them experience something new.

And of course I have a few more pages that I threw together in my spare time. I am getting less and less of that these days.

6 Months Old!

Can you believe that Bethany and Melody are already 6 months old? Where did the time go. I guess time flies when you don't sleep at night. Actually, these past few weeks have been great. The girls go to bed at 8pm then don't wake up until 3-5am for a bottle, then go back to bed until 8-9am. Joe and I would get great sleep if we would actually go to bed at a decent hour.
To celebrate this milestone, they went to the doctor's office to get shots. They are not too happy today.
Both girls are sitting up now. They have been for the last few weeks. Bethany rolls all over the place while Melody is content looking cute in one place. Here are some recent photos as well as some that I forgot to take care of earlier.  Enjoy!

and of course many of you might have seen this classic one before, but I wanted to put it in the 12" x 12' scrapbooking size.

Best Baby Book Ever

I am begining to think these girls are going to have an awesome baby book with all of these scrapbook pages I am making time for inbetween feedings and changings. Here are some more pages. Enjoy!

The girls are now eating thier vegetables. Joe and I love to sit them down and feed them. They always make such adorable faces when trying out new foods. Yes, we give them the food for a week before trying something else in case of allergies. So far they are on carrots, sweet potatoes, sweet peas, and as of this week, bananas.

These next few are grouped together by month.

Here are some photos of our trip to Colorado to see my family.

Please, let me know of any typos in the scrapbook pages. Also if you can think of any ways to improve on them, feel free to let me know what you think.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter from Bethany and Melody!  The girls had a delivery from the Easter Bunny last night. They did not get the usual candy and chocolates. They got pureed fruits and vegetables. Yum!!!

Home is where the Air Force sends us.....

Well, it is that time again when the Air Force tells us to pack our bags and head out. Joe and I are not too thrilled on where we are off to next: Alabama. The bright side, yes there is one, is that we will be closer to Joe's grandparents. I for one am a little sad that yet again we are close to Joe's family, but even farther from mine. Not to say it is a bad thing to be near Joe's, but I would like to be near mine since we have not been anywhere near them since we got married. At least the girls will be close to some family.
Our report date is the end of September. I am glad that the girls will be a little older. I am sure most of you have heard that Joe was suppose to have graduated by now but was given an extention because his advisor was deployed for a year and he had to start a new thesis.
Wish us luck.
