Laurie's sister Michelle and her husband James were visiting us and we decided to go to Medieval Times, especially since they had a good discount for labor day. We took the kids about 6 months ago and they loved it. While pricey, it's decent food and a really entertaining show: swords, jousting, horses, falcons, a king, a princess, and the occasional wench/serf bringing your food.
Here are some pics for your entertainment. We brought some glow sticks and bracelets for the kids - the girls' looked like magic wands, and Joss' looked like an axe.
And a few videos - the first of the king's arrival, and the second of Joss playing Laurie since: a) he had cotton candy before the show, b) it's way past his bedtime, and c) flashing lights, loud show, and swords.
For those of you that like internet memes, here's my kids in one - the "reaction guys" meme.
And for good measure, here are some random funnies:
A few days ago I got a text from Laurie saying she couldn't find Joss and he wasn't answering her. After a thorough search of the house she found him quietly attending to a pilfered cookie under the dining room table.
This is what happens when hide-and-seek goes to the next level. Yes, there are four complete people hiding in the couch back cushions.
Not so much funny as cute, here are some pictures of Joss with Granddaddy and I on the USS Torsk, a WWII submarine. The one of him standing in the door makes him look years older/bigger.
