Well, it's been a long week waiting for the twins' arrival. Laurie is now to the point of discomfort that we're probably loosing as much sleep as we would if the kiddos were already here.
We decided to go to a local park on Saturday, both to take in the fall colors and to get Laurie walking around in hopes of inducing some contractions.
The park is one of those living museums - a working Ohio farm kept perpetually in a bygone era - something around the 1880's. (I wonder if they have a trained midwife on hand?) It's the same park where Laurie had her baby shower, but Laurie's mom had never been there, and Joe's mom had never seen the farm part of it.
Some of the trees were at their peak. Here's a quick few of the pictures we took:

Laurie takes a break from plowing the fields

A quiet moment by the chicken coop.

The buggy ride we turned down.

Bridging generations (trust us, they're standing on a bridge)

For your amusement, try and find all 5 sheep in the picture above

Okay, there were only 4 sheep in that picture. If you're reading this, we're glad you decided to move on.
The final pictures are the best. We asked Laurie what she would do if her water broke right there on the farm. The answer is below:

Brilliant!!
Well, still no babies. We're still waiting, and waiting...
